SCOPE OF WORK
Hydrostructures was selected by Baltimore County to perform various sanitary sewer rehabilitation design projects to support its consent order with the EPA, Maryland Department of the Environment, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Projects include review of CCTV inspection data and manhole inspection reports, design of trenchless technology pipeline rehabilitation and pipeline replacement, manhole rehabilitation, lateral replacement and rehabilitation, permitting, environmental surveys and sketches, and construction phase services. This project encompasses two tasks to date. Task A includes the cleaning and CCTV inspection of 43,000 linear feet of 8” – 15” sanitary sewer pipe, the inspection of 110 manholes, and the cleaning and inspection of 700 LF of 8” – 15” siphon pipe. The scope of work for Task B includes the comprehensive sewer rehabilitation design and construction phase services for the rehabilitation of the public portion of the County’s collection system within Basins SR02B and SR03. Subtasks include desktop review of existing information; video review and assessment of pipes, manholes, and laterals; field inspection of sewer mains and manholes to collect incomplete data (As Needed); site walk of select sewer mains/manholes for areas with limited access (As Needed); preparation of base mapping using Auto Cad and COUNTY GIS; draft Design (90% Design); Pre-Final Design (95% Design); Final (Bid Ready) Documents (100% Design); bid administration assistance; and construction phase services.
Prior to lining, all observed structural defects will be noted and structural rehabilitation recommendations will be made by the engineer based on condition, cost, capacity, access, constructability and other factors.
